Clearing places at UEA
If you’re having second thoughts about your university or course, not sure you’ll get the results you were expecting or only just beginning your university decision making, we’re here to help support you in making the right choice.
What is clearing?
It's your second chance for a first-rate course. If you've changed your mind about a course you've been offered or missed out on the grades you needed, you can give us a call and apply for the one you really want.
Clearing is for you if you didn't meet the requirements for a conditional offer, you didn't get any offers, you didn't apply, or you've simply changed your mind about a course or university.
Before you dive into the process, there are a few things you should do. First of all, don't panic, loads of people go through clearing and end up with the courses they want. Second, have a chat with your school or college careers advisor. Read More
How does clearing work?
Clearing may seem like a confusing process but in reality the process is really quite simple if you understand what you need to do and by when.
Clearing is traditionally seen as an opportunity to find a place at university if you haven’t performed as well as expected.
However clearing should be seen as an opportunity if you are thinking of changing your mind on your university choice or perform better than expected. We’ve created a simple ten step process to help you understand clearing.Read More

This is UEA
Academic innovation, disruptive ideas and research that changes the world. Not to mention a gold ranking in The Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) achieved in 2017 – that’s the government’s new method of assessing the quality of teaching in higher education.
You’ll be following in the footsteps of Nobel Prize winners like geneticist Sir Paul Nurse and novelist Sir Kazuo Ishiguro. And, you’ll be calling Norwich home. A city as rich in history as it is buzzing with creativity.
Finally, you’ll be part of a diverse but close-knit community, housed on our mini-city campus. As well as having everything you need to live, it has everything you need to enjoy yourself, and it’s set amongst picturesque green spaces that offer peace and quiet when you need it.
